Through its Veterans No Boundaries Program, Maine Adaptive provides veterans and active duty personnel with disabilities summer and winter adaptive sports activities, free of charge. The summer camp will be held on August 17-20, 2018 at Camp Wavus / Kieve. The winter camp will be held on January 24-28, 2019 at Sunday River.
NEVI*Fest is held each February at Sugarloaf. In addition to providing on-snow lessons to beginners-advanced skiers/riders that have a visual impairment, this festival is also committed to teaching friends and family in how to become guides. The 2019 event dates will February 10-13, 2019.
Each year Maine Adaptive hosts a 3-day clinic for mono-skiers at Sunday River. Clinics are taught by skilled mono-skiers with the goal of improving your skiing ability and comfort level in all aspects of the sport. This year’s camp will be held on March 6-8, 2019. We will have a less formal 2-day mono-ski workshop at Sugarloaf on February 23-24, 2019.
