Maine Adaptive is the largest year-round recreation program in the state for adults and children with disabilities. Founded in 1982 by the generous support of Sunday River Ski Resort, Maine Adaptive now provides over 3,500 lessons winter and summer throughout the state of Maine, free of charge, thanks to the support of individual, businesses, corporations and foundations that sustain our program every year.

Monthly Gifts

Endowment Fund

Maine Adaptive’s Endowment Fund was established in 2007 to help ensure the future of Maine Adaptive’s year-round adaptive sports and recreation. It ensures that we will be able to continue to serve people with disabilities, for many years to come, introducing them to the challenges and joy of year-round adaptive sports. Individuals who commit $5,000 or more to our Endowment Fund enjoy membership in the Maine Adaptive Founders Society.
